This shot came after a meeting of the EUP Photography Club. I had spent a good part of the evening speaking with Terry Humphrey (who by the way is an amazing landscape photographer in the Eastern Upper Peninsula). We had been talking about landscape photography, lenses, settings, favorite sites, etc. As I was driving home, I could see this sunset beginning to blossom. I knew I needed a North/South road and had been down Bound Road a few times recently looking for Snowy Owls in the open fields. So, I made a beeline for a spot that I thought might be interesting. I got there with enough time to walk up and down the road looking, shooting, relocating, etc. until this shot happened. Out of the 100 or so photos that I took in that short time, this is my favorite.
